PSHRA offers an agency-level membership for organizations of varying sizes and three individual membership categories.

Agency Membership

All agencies conducting public HR functions, both in the U.S. and internationally, are eligible for membership in this category. Dues are based on the number of staff in your HR department.

Agency

U.S. Agencies – Federal, state, or local level, special district, or school district in the United States. Dues depend on the number of covered staff.

Individual Membership

Individuals currently working in the HR field, unemployed but looking for public sector HR work, or retired from public sector HR, are eligible to seek membership in this category.

Individual Membership

Individuals: Individuals employed in public sector HR by an agency or currently unemployed and looking for work in the field.

Emeritus

All individuals fully retired from public sector HR work. To join as an Emeritus member, please contact the membership department for further assistance.

Student

Any full-time graduate or undergraduate student, or any person participating in a formal public service internship sponsored by a recognized academic institution is eligible for membership in this category. Please provide a copy of your student ID or most recent transcripts with your membership application. Student memberships will renew at the student rate for up to 5 times, depending on academic progress, before transitioning into an Individual membership.
